SUPPLIER RELATIONS MANAGER - INDEPENDENCE, OH (ON-SITE)
JOB SUMMARY
The Supplier Relations Manager is responsible for managing relationships with service providers, OEM/dealer partners, and other suppliers of Fleet Team. This includes negotiation of supplier discounts, contracts, and master service agreements, ongoing communication and relationship management, and onboarding of new suppliers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Negotiates contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers and national accounts, driving cost-saving initiatives and ensuring favorable terms for Fleet Team and its clients.
  • Develops and executes strategies for supplier selection, evaluation, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and onboards new strategic suppliers, considering factors such as cost and quality performance.
  • Fosters strong ongoing relationships with suppliers, acting as a liaison to address concerns and build mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Collaborates with Fleet Management Services to define supplier requirements, quality standards, and performance metrics.
  • Partners with Fleet Analytics to monitor and evaluate supplier performance against established KPIs and drive continuous improvement efforts through CQI meetings.
  • Conducts regular supplier reviews and performance assessments, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Leads cross-functional teams in resolving supplier-related issues and challenges in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on supplier performance, and cost savings to Fleet Management Services and leadership.
  • Remains updated on industry best practices and evolving trends in supplier management and procurement.
  • Protects confidentiality of financial/client information and other privileged information.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature as required.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, or significant experience to justify an exception.
EXPERIENCE
  • At least 5-10 years of experience managing vendor or supplier relationships on a regional and/or national scale.
  • At least 5-10 years of experience with negotiation of large contracts/Master Service Agreements.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM/ERP platform preferred, intermediate skills in remaining Microsoft Office suite.
