FLAG Solutions is Hiring a Maintenance Manager | Food services Near Salinas, CA

Position Summary: The Maintenance Manager supervises all maintenance employees and complies with all safety, quality, quantity, and housekeeping standards. Responsible for overseeing maintenance efforts across the Plant. Manages maintenance activities for the upkeep of buildings, and equipment. Resolves problems as they arise whether directly or by assembling teams to solve those issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S in Engineering or at least 6 years of experience in a Maintenance Leadership role
  • 2-3 years experience in packaging machine maintenance or industrial maintenance preferred
  • 2-3 years experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • English/Spanish Bilingual preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Practices "Safety First" at all times.
  • Promotes and enforces GMP's at all times.
  • Manages department Projects, Staffing, Expenditures, Training needs, and Status of machines.
  • Understand the daily production, warehouse, and QA issues involving the maintenance department (i.e. projects, trends, downtime, training needs.)
  • Analyzes production downtime reports to review mechanical opportunities and trends.
  • Builds and leads the execution of efficient preventive maintenance schedules to minimize operational impact and ensure production targets are met or exceeded.
  • Manages and Reviews PM logs to ensure:
  • to performance per schedule
  • to parts inventory needed/on order
  • to identify trends that may need further attention.
  • Monitors expenditures to ensure budget adherence and approvals.
  • Documentation adherence and Standard Operation Procedure creation.
  • Manage relationships with contractors and service provider
  • Responsible for maintaining and reviewing the MSS for the maintenance department
  • Anticipates and determines causes of delays in shift operations and takes appropriate action.
  • Conducts root cause analysis to problem solve.
  • Lead continuous improvement events and generate cost savings that exceed site performance goals
  • Partners with HR to ensure adherence to state and federal laws.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
