The Office of Student Development is seeking a student for employment. This position is funded by the university. All undergraduate students looking for employment are welcome to make application for this position. Please see below the specific duties and responsibilities for this role.

The Campus Center, housed within Hammond Hall, has been student-run since 1977 and has grown significantly over the past four decades, many changes have been made as the needs of our students change and grow. This building, however, still serves its original purpose and offers itself as a place where students can spend time socializing and expanding themselves outside the classroom. Hammond Hall houses everything from offices and services for students to the Gallucci-Cirio Library and the North Street Bistro.

The Volunteer Center is an area of the Campus Center and the Staff reports to the Manager of the Volunteer Center. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with community outreach, organizing service opportunities and customer service.

Successful candidates must be able to assist in providing opportunities for positive change through community service initiatives and to act as a liaison between the University and the non-profit agencies of the surrounding communities. Staff will need to provide clerical duties, answering phones and emails and by providing friendly customer service to patrons. Including maintaining a clean, organized and professional appearance to the office. Assistance will need to be provided to assess, collaborate with, plan, promote and implement events pertaining to the integration of the University and City communities. Be able to create and distribute of outreach materials, encouraging student involvement. Knowledge and/or willingness to learn about volunteer opportunities and community service programming will be necessary. Good computer and typing skills, as well as, effective verbal and written communication skills are needed.

Shift Information: This is a student only posting. Shift will vary based on student schedules and the pay is $15 per hour. Employees should expect to work at least 8, but no more than 20 hours per week.
