What does a successful Warehouse Lead Associate do?

As a Warehouse Lead Associate, you will oversee the warehouse process within the distribution center. This entails collaborating closely with customers and suppliers, assigning work to associates to ensure optimal volume levels are achieved within specified time limits. Additionally, you will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to enforce all safety guidelines and provide leadership in shipping, receiving, and packing room activities conducted within the warehouse.

What you will do:

• Conduct thorough quality checks to maintain the highest standards of product integrity.
• Facilitate seamless coordination of product movement, ensuring a smooth flow from production to the warehouse and ultimately shipping.
• Skillfully resolve any warehouse-related issues by collaborating with representatives from various departments across the company.
• Conduct comprehensive review, prioritization, and coordination of all outgoing orders to ensure timely fulfillment.
• Adhere to prescribed procedures for accurately counting and verifying items, meticulously entering them into the computerized tracking system.
• Efficiently retrieve the correct inventory to meet internal orders, proficiently processing outbound supply orders within designated timeframes.
• Thoroughly perform quality checks to maintain consistent standards and ensure customer satisfaction.

What you will need to have:

• Possess a valid driver’s license for at least the last three years.
• Pass an annual Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) check.
• Proven ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
• Basic computer skills (data entry, PC navigation).
• Ability to perform basic math to support various job responsibilities.
• Ability to stand 95% of your shift and safely lift up to 40 pounds without assistance.
• Must be able to reach above shoulders, climb, squat, kneel, and bend often.

What would be great to have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in a high-volume distribution environment.
• Ability to analyze data and provide insights on logistics and supply chain management.
• Experience streamlining processes, optimizing workflows, and implementing efficiency-enhancing measures to drive productivity and cost savings.
• Demonstrated aptitude in problem-solving, employing analytical thinking to identify and resolve operational challenges effectively.
