Job Summary

As a Construction Manager in our Northern Kentucky Division, you will manage the construction and warranty service operations in such a way that quality homes are built and serviced in a profitable manner and customers are satisfied. The Construction Manager will oversee and guide our field managers and strategic initiatives as it relates to construction. The most rewarding part of this role is being able to mentor your team into providing the best home and customer service for our homebuyers. 

You will thrive in this role if you: 

  • Maintain effectiveness in a constantly changing work environment. 
  • Possess vision and proactive problem solving to provide exception results and customer service skills. 
  • Convert difficult situations into a positive environment for all direct reports. 
  • Lead and manage individuals by guiding and coaching them to their successes. 
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through expectation management. 

These skills will be used to: 

  • Manage the division's construction and warranty service operations, Fischer Homes' Field Managers, outside trade partners, and other Fischer Homes' departments so that quality homes are built, delivered and serviced within the standards for quality, timeliness and cost and so that the division achieves customer satisfaction.
  • Review all construction related costs and job-starts by completing site surveys with Field Managers.
  • Ensure that warranty service is completed in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
  • Recruit, hire, train, develop, coach, and mentor top talent in order to achieve the division's and company's goals and objectives.
  • Maintain and monitor a Fischer Homes Safety Awareness program that promotes OSHA compliance by trade partners and an injury-free work environment.
  • Deliver training programs that will be both challenging and rewarding to Associates, for growth and advancement within the organization.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors Degree with a concentration in Construction Management, Engineering, or relevant field. 
  • 5 years experience in residential construction
