Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and professional Dental Receptionist to join our team. As a Dental Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth flow of operations in the dental office. This is a vital role that requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using our phone system
- Check-in patients and verify their personal and insurance information
- Collect payments and process insurance claims
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary using dental software such as Dentrix or eClinicalWorks
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns in a professional manner
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is an asset
- Familiarity with insurance billing processes is a plus
