Who we are looking for:

First Eagle Alternative Credit is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Infrastructure Technology team in New York. Wearing multiple hats, the Data Engineer will participate in a variety of data-related projects around the company, including working with business analysts, technology managers and business stakeholders to build and organize data pipelines that help the company foster data-driven culture in all its processes and operations. In addition, the Data Engineer will resolve data quality issues as well as develop reports and dashboards and other tools to automate existing legacy processes and provide data for research and business insights.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the below and have the following qualifications for this role.

What you will do:

• Build ETL pipelines to ingest new data from legacy data sources and load them into cloud-based data repository and Data Warehouse
• Streamline and automate workflows for data engineering and science development
• Migrate legacy reporting to the modern infrastructure
• Build processes to improve data quality
• Build dashboards to help stakeholders access insights
• Identify opportunities to increase or improve our data capture
• Assist in building, maintaining, and expanding data warehouse (DWH) to incorporate data from multiple sources

The qualities you should have:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field e.g. computer science, statistics, applied math or related field, or equivalent experience
• Talented candidates at the entry level and up to 1-5 years of experience with a stellar track record in a data engineer role (or relevant internships)
• Experience working with diverse groups of internal or external stakeholders
• Strong proficiency in SQL and ideally in Python as well
• Snowflake data warehouse knowledge is a plus
• AWS Services such as Lambda, Step Functions is a plus
• Experience with dimensional data modeling is a plus
• Familiarity with BI tools e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker is a plus
• Ability to pick up new technologies and quickly grasp new concepts
• Comfort in exploring in uncharted and undefined spaces while staying focused on what is important for the business

Base Salary range: $85,000-$120,000. In addition, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus. Compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to – the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
