Description
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform routine member transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, sell traveler's checks and money orders, and check cashing and all other teller duties. Explain, promote, and cross sell the products and services the Credit Union offers. Know and understand the policies and procedures of the Credit Union and able to explain them to the members. Must understand and comply with all federal and state laws and regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Asset Controls. Balance cash drawer coin, currency and checks to source documents and the Reliance totals at the end of each shift. Follow proper cash handling procedures. Use ten-key adding machine, coin counter, VISA terminal, copier, cash dispensers, and be proficient in using the Symitar system. Load and unload cash dispensers and ATM's (in the Credit Union). Obtain complete and accurate information needed to "wire" and send Western Union for members. Examine checks for endorsements and negotiability to determine what, if any, hold is needed. Respond to member's requests, problems and complaints, and/or direct them to the proper person for specific information and assistance. Receive information pertaining to member's accounts and route to proper person. Give professional, friendly, accurate service to ALL members.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to read and write correspondence and follow instructions. Must be able to effectively interact with members and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
