Role and Responsibilities

The Maintenance Electrical Technician is responsible for assisting in the repair, maintenance, and upkeep of the organization's facilities and equipment. Under the guidance of senior maintenance staff, the Maintenance Electrical Technician performs routine tasks and basic troubleshooting to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and systems.

• Assist on preventive and corrective maintenance services in industrial machines and equipment such as: filter machines (KDF2, DAPTC, MULFI, FPM, QTM), foil machines, boilers, compressors, etc., according to the maintenance schedule and/or service request.
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems, including AC and DC motors, transformers, relays, control panels and variable frequency drives. Identify and repair electrical faults, malfunctions, and breakdowns promptly to minimize production downtime.
• Design and assemble new equipment wiring and control panels to expand infrastructure.
• Rewire and conduct a complete electrical refurbishment on machines replacing main electrical components.
• Place conduit within partitions, walls, or above ceilings and thread wires or cables through the conduits. Installing circuit breakers and establishing new power connections.
• Ensure compliance with all electrical safety codes, standards, and regulations, including NFPA, NEC, and OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, including repair logs, equipment manuals, and inventory of spare parts.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean work area including the Maintenance shop, following the 5S methodology.
• Comply with ISO 9001, 14001 and Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance:Operates all equipment in the prescribed manner.

Reports all safety concerns to Supervisor / HS&E Manager
Maintain awareness of company policies
Maintain awareness if company objectives for ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 and 45001

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrical Technician.

· Certified electrician.

· Knowledge of PLCs and Drives from Siemens and AMK.

· Excellent computer skills

· Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical systems.

· Extensive knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

· Flexibility to participate in on-call rotations.

· Familiarity with preventive maintenance software.

Preferred Skills

· Relevant experience in a similar role or industry

Hours work: The average work hours is for 40 hours a week 1st shift, but do to the company runs a 24 hour operation, we request that this position be flexible in their work schedule when requested.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $42.00 per hour
