As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth with a keen focus on the personal care, beauty, and cosmetics sector. Your primary objective is to maximize sales within the top key accounts by identifying new projects and customer backed innovation opportunities as well as hunting for new customers for the segment. Key to success in this role includes the ability to cultivate strong customer relationships, a deep understanding of market trends in the target sector, continuous refinement of sales processes and flawless project management from design to delivery. In addition, you will manage the day-to-day work of a Senior Customer Service Representative while effectively collaborating across all functional areas including product development, supply chain and operations. 

Responsibilities

Sales & New Business Development

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve goals and expand market share within the target sectors.
  • Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, activity reports, and performance analysis to senior management.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking activities to promote the company's brand and generate leads.
  • Conduct market research and analyze industry trends, competitive intelligence, identify new market opportunities and stay proactive in the market.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and other departments to align sales strategies with overall company goals.
  • Monitor sales metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and measure individual and team performance.

Key Account & Project Management

  • Directly engage with key accounts, fostering relationships to drive revenue and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate across functions to ensure quality and delivery goals are met.
  • Project manage customer backed product development initiatives from design to delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Proven track record of success in sales, preferably with a focus on the cosmetics industry.
  • Experience in managing and motivating a sales team to achieve targets and drive revenue growth.
  • Strong knowledge of sales techniques, pipeline management, and market segmentation strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key customers.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to drive informed decision-making.

  • Understanding of CRM software and other sales enablement tools to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
  • Solid organizational, project management, and multitasking abilities.

  • Flexibility to travel 30-40% for client meetings and industry events
