Fields Senior Living is Hiring a Registered Nurse Oversight Part-time Near Arlington, WA

A local premier provider for senior living is seeking a passionate and strong customer-oriented Registered Nurse. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the Assisted Living and Memory Care program in accordance with communitypoliciesand proceduresand applicablestateregulations.
  • Directsthe interviewing, hiring, trainingandassignmentofdutiesoflicensedandnon-licensedstaff.
  • RN Delegation Oversite.
  • Evaluatesdepartmentstaffworkperformance, by coaching in the moment and through company evaluation process.
  • Evaluates resident requirements prior to and upon admission to determine level ofassistanceneeded.Evaluates residents’needsonanongoingbasis, as directed by company and state protocol. Engage in quarterly care conferences with families to review change in care needs and additional services the residents may need.
  • Coordinatescareprogramwithresident’sphysicians,consultants, and community’s departments toassure residentsassistance needsare met.
  • Periodically visits residents to ensure resident apartment is clean, resident’s care plan is followed, and resident is satisfied with care.
  • SupervisesorientationofResidentServiceDepartmentstaff.
  • Reviews all accident and incident reports filed by nursing personnel and reports themtoadministrator within 24 hours of incident.
  • Works closely with Executive Director regarding facility policies, personnelissues,residentissues, andcommunityrelationships.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Additional Functions:

  • Must possess qualities of leadership, tact, and adaptability to change. Must be neat in appearance, pleasant personality, be congenial to fellow team members, residents, families, and the public in general. Must be capable of using own judgement and initiative in daily duties.
  • Must have strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and meetdeadlines.
  • Mustbedetailandteam-workoriented.
  • Must attend required in-services/ workshops to further education of skills andcommunityrequirements.

Qualifications:

  • MUST BE A CURRENT LICENSED REGISTERED NURSE.
  • MustbeDrugfreeandsubmittoUrinaryAnalysisDrugscreeninguponhireandroutinely.
  • Must be able to pass Criminal Background Check, Health Screening including TB test.
  • Prior RN Management experience within an assisted living or memory care community including coaching, performance management, scheduling and daily operations supervision. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applied nursing practices, techniques, and methods in accordance with federal, state and board of nursing requirements.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and prevention of disease transmission.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities, organize effeciently, and manage time effectivley. 
  • Computer proficiency with electronic medical records, the Microsoft Office suite and the ability to learn new applications. (PointClickCare Preferred)
  • A passion for helping seniors, especially those living with Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease.
  • Experience working with Dementia residents and supervising care staff.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing in standard English.
  • Able to work all shifts to ensure staffing coverage when needed.
  • The employee shall be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Fields Senior Living.

Physical Demands and Requirements:

  • Maintain ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk throughout the vast majority of the workday; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist and reach.
  • Mustbewillingtobeactiveandonfeetduringentireworkshift.
  • Involves light to heavy physical activity performing non-strenuous and strenuous activities.
  • Must have sufficient manual dexterity to work with the fingers and to reach/hand items.
