Job Description: As a Senior Software Engineer in Fidelity Brokerage Operations Technology R4 domain, you will be responsible for enhancing and building cash and share reconciliations using Fiserv’s Frontier product. You will be part of an agile team and play a key role in maintaining the stability, resiliency and 24/7 availability of the application within the Brokerage Platform. Primary Responsibilities: Review reconciliation requirements provided by business units and address any open questions. Based upon requirements analysis, design how the reconciliation will function within Frontier, including creating account balance pools, accounts, classes, match passes, groups, views, purging, , reporting, aging, and scheduling Admin jobs. Partner with FBT/Mainframe and counter-party technology points of contact, where applicable, to acquire vital data and pre-process it in preparation for import into Frontier. Build the data loads, match passes, aging rules, output reporting, and configuration of the design elements detailed above within the Frontier development region per business unit specifications. In partnership with the business unit lead, test the reconciliation and related output to ensure it meets their requirements. Partner with FBT infrastructure and resiliency support teams to migrate reconciliations from development region into production. Provide off-hours production support of the reconciliations and coordinate with offshore teams to resolve any technical issues including batch job failures and data irregularities. Support enhancements to existing reconciliations in Frontier production, such as match pass and reporting enhancements. Liaison with Fiserv/Trintech project management and support to resolve issues. Work with DBA teams to optimize database performance and efficiency. Perform Frontier application version upgrades. Monitor the Frontier Web services, Control-M jobs and scheduled tasks for 24x7 availability. Monitor the Frontier servers for security vulnerabilities and Security patch updates. Qualifications Education and Experience: BS (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or Physics and a few years' experience in designing and implementing reconciliation solutions within the financial industry. Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) developing reconciliation solutions -- data filtering/importing using Recollector, design reconciliation and reporting in Recon, scheduling jobs in Admin -- within Fiserv’s Frontier or other similar reconciliation systems. DE in analysis and filtering of large data sets -- using Perl, Python -- writing SQL queries and stored procedures for Oracle and SQL Server and developing customized reconciliation reports using Crystal Reports and Business Objects. DE in implementing projects through full lifecycle, including analysis, design, tracking, monitoring, and reporting on project work. DE in incident management to swiftly mitigate customer impact, identify root cause, and determine short-term and long-term corrective actions. DE in infrastructure management of distributed systems and in maintaining stability and resiliency of production and lower environments. Additional Value you bring Experience with one or more observability/monitoring tools (Prometheus, Telemetry, Highway). Experience with developing SSIS packages for SQL Server. Experience in Cloud Enablement is a strong plus. The base salary range for this position is $76,000-$144,000 per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
