About us
Fibematics Inc. is a multi-faceted manufacturer, converter, and trader of nonwoven wiping materials. Since 1968, Fibematics has manufactured Scrim Reinforced Material (SRM) and converted wiping products in Philadelphia, PA, and today we also convert wiping products in Southern California. Fibematics converts and/or trades the following nonwovens: Spunlace, Airlaid, DRC, Embossed Tissue, Meltblown Polypropylene (MBPP), Spunbond Polypropylene (SBPP) / Polyester (SBPE), Polyethylene Laminates, and others in parent rolls and a variety of converted formats. We are custom converters of various nonwoven wiping products.
The ideal candidate will be capable of performing repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance for equipment, as well as leading the maintenance department.
Candidate must have experience in a variety of areas including all facets of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components with processing equipment and systems. Ideally this would include a background and understanding of paper towel converting equipment and packaging equipment.
Desired skills include the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose machine issues as well as anticipating potential problems. Key is determining the root causes of any failures and then working to choose the best repair options available, keeping in mind the sensitivity of time and the company’s production needs. Since systems and equipment are sometimes unique, associates need to be flexible and innovative.
A focus on maximizing the output and utilization of plant equipment is necessary. The only thing that takes precedence over productivity and efficiency is employee health and safety. Understanding all safety processes is an absolute must.
Supervisors are expected to work Monday through Friday from 6 am to 2 pm
3-5 years of management experience is a must. Maintenance experience in the paper industry a plus but not necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
