A Day in the life of a Sr Sales Manager:
The Sr. Sales Manager reports to the VP of Foodservice and is a key role for FFH as Foodservice is a focus channel for the organization to drive not only financial growth but also brand impressions and trial. As established leaders in our category, we have the exciting opportunity to introduce our leading portfolio of brands and fermented products like Wildbrine and Bubbies to Foodservice and transform the channel trajectory in the upcoming years.
A successful candidate has a strong understanding of Foodservice and brings high energy, entrepreneurial mindset, ownership mentality and a passion for proactively growing their business as we pioneer new brands and categories in Foodservice as part of a fast-growing company and team.
Accountable for:
· Prospecting new accounts and proactively growing book of business
· Pioneering new products and categories in foodservice, defining strategies to grow the business with new and existing customers and channels
· Building strong rapport and partnership with customers to drive mutual growth
· Interpersonal strength, particularly the ability to influence and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver on customer needs as well as connect business strategy and execution
· Appreciate complex challenges, defining strategy and driving execution to solve them
· Desire to be part of a team in a truly collaborative atmosphere, while simultaneously owning the success of a significant piece of the puzzle.
· Passion for food, especially functional and fermented products
Necessary Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree, business or related field preferred
· 5 years of previous foodservice sales related experience and/or customer facing activities, with strong preference for existing relationships with mid to large chain accounts
· Demonstrated experience with proactive sales efforts, successfully prospecting and converting new accounts.
· Experience with Excel and PowerPoint, and ability to analyze and interpret data
· Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
· Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks, prioritizing workload, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong attention to detail and willingness to solve problems through collaboration and critical thinking.
· Ability to learn quickly, to adapt to change and to work independently with minimal direction.
· Ability to travel 50% or more
· Must model the highest degree of moral and ethical behavior
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge of Foodservice data tools like Datassential and NPD Supply Track a plus
· Food service marketing experience a plus (beyond sales)
· High level of energy and personal drive
· Ability to analyze internal and external data to evaluate performance and determine new opportunities
Proposed Salary Range and Benefits:
Offer is based on market and internal data, level of education, and level of experience including additional licensures and credentials.
