SUMMARY

The Empowerment Center Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the day to day operations of the Empowerment Center. The Coordinator will manage pantry deliveries, oversee volunteers and support daily programs such as operating the Trinity Cafe meal service and assisting with food pantry operations. This person will also be responsible for handling data entry, managing communications via phone and email and contributing to facility maintenance efforts. The Coordinator will work closely with the Manager to ensure proper coverage for all Empowerment Center operations and will be cross-trained appropriately. 

Requirements

DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage pantry deliveries, including accepting the delivery, assisting the driver with unloading pallets and organizing the product for volunteers. 
• Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and proper rotation of products in the food storage closet, as well as maintaining inventory levels and cleanliness in the Trinity Cafe supplies closet.
• Operates the Trinity Cafe meal service, overseeing Volunteer Captains, ensuring the facility is set up prior to service, running the volunteer shift in a captain’s absence, following safety protocols, answering guest questions and assisting in the kitchen/dish pit when needed.
• Assist with food pantry operations, operating OrderAhead and managing the line in the cafe. Will be cross-trained to run Link2Feed and manage the pantry in Manager’s absence. 
• Record food donations, incident reports, meal tracking data and other relevant information accurately and timely.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist with the Feeding Pinellas email inbox.
• Assist with manually inputting Link2Feed pantry forms.
• Contribute to the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility by sweeping, mopping, taking out the trash, etc. 
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role or in the non-profit sector is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and data entry software.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Commitment to the organization's mission and values.

• Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
