Job Title: Web Designer/Developer

Job Summary:

This position is in support of the Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA). Working for the Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA) involves providing crucial technical support and innovation for cutting-edge tactical systems utilized by the Marine Corps, contributing directly to the effectiveness and efficiency of military operations.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing and implementing software components, modules, and interfaces for the new human capital management system solutions per specifications and requirements
  • Participating in the design and coding of system architectures, data models, user interfaces, and integration components following DevSecOps practices
  • Configuring system settings, permissions, data policies, and taxonomies within the solutions based on requirements
  • Writing clean, well-documented, and maintainable code adhering to standards and best practices
  • Conducting code reviews and ensure developed solutions meet quality, security, and performance criteria
  • Assisting with system testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution activities during the development lifecycle
  • Collaborating with other developers, analysts, and subject matter experts to understand and implement system requirements
  • Supporting the migration, deployment, and operational activities for the new personnel management system
  • Contributing to the development of system documentation, training materials, and operating procedures

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
  • 3 years of relevant experience in software development and coding
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, JavaScript, SQL, and .NET framework
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, Office 365, and related Microsoft development tools
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies like Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD practices
  • Understanding of database design, data modeling, and user interface development principles
  • Familiarity with security concepts, authentication mechanisms, and data protection standards
  • Ability to write well-structured, optimized, and secure code following coding guidelines
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering cloud-based applications and systems
  • Hands-on experience with the Azure DevOps suite and related development toolchain
  • Background in developing user interfaces and integrating with identity management systems
  • Experience with software testing, debugging, and issue resolution processes

Desired:

  • Familiarity with IT service management principles like ITIL
  • Knowledge of data reporting and BI/analytics capabilities

Work Setting and Environment:

  • Monday - Friday, normal working hours
  • Work is to be performed at Camp Pendleton, CA
