We are looking for a School Psychologist to work in Philadelphia, PA supporting our client.

Position Summary: The School Psychologist reports to the Principal/School Director of theassigned Client Charter School and is responsible for providing cognitive,social, and personal development of all students. School Psychologist willconduct psychological assessment, crisis response, individual and groupcounseling, school-based consultation, and research. School Psychologist assistteachers, parents, and students in understanding, preventing, and addressinglearning, behavioral, developmental, and emotional difficulties. School Psychologistwill help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Theycollaborate with educators, administrators, families and other mental healthprofessionals to create a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environmentfor all students and strengthen connections between home and school.I. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following is an explanation of the duties of the School Psychologist. Itincludes the major highlights of the requirements of the position. There shouldbe a clear understanding that the duties outlined below are not allencompassing. Additional responsibilities may be assigned to the SchoolPsychologist as required. A. Assessment and Interpretation Identifies and assesses the learning, development, and adjustmentcharacteristics and needs of individuals and groups, as well as, theenvironmental factors that affect learning and adjustment. Uses assessment dataabout the student and his/her environment(s) in developing appropriateinterventions and programs. B. Direct Interventions for Students Provides interventions to students to support the teaching process and tomaximize learning and adjustment C. Consultation and Training Provides consultation to parents, teachers, other school personnel, andcommunity agencies to enhance the learning and adjustment of students. D. Program Development Assists in the planning, development, and evaluation of programs to meetidentified learning and adjustment needs. E. School Psychology Program Implementation Delivers a planned and coordinated program of psychological services. F. Professional Practice and Development Applies ethics and standards of professional practice in the delivery of schoolpsychological services and observes relevant laws and policies that governpractice. Participates in professional organizations and continually seeks toimprove professional knowledge and skill. G. Communication and Relationship Skills Communicates effectively with students, parents, and school staff.II. PROFESSIONALISMA. Interpersonal/Teamwork 1. Maintains positive and professional relationships with colleagues, childrenand parents. 2. Contributes as a team member and actively collaborates with others to meetthe mission and goals of Client Charter School.B. Work Habits 1. Knowledgeable and supportive of Client Charter School policies andprocedures, including those in the Policy and Procedure Manual, and implementsthem consistently. 2. Knowledgeable of laws, regulations, and standards pertinent to his or herwork and demonstrates compliance. 3. Demonstrates integrity by striving for safe and effective service delivery,as well as accurate, timely and complete documentation. 4. Contributes to maintaining a Culture of Safety for students, parents,colleagues and visitors. 5. Reports to work, as well as all meetings and appointments, in a timelymanner. 6. Dresses appropriately and professionally based on scheduled activities ofthe given day. Strives to serve as a role model to clients.C. Professional Development 1. Participates in individual supervision as scheduled by supervisor. 2. Accepts and follows suggestions, directives, and requests to performadditional duties willingly and flexibly. 3. Consults his or her supervisor or others, as appropriate, for collaborativeproblem solving. 4. Exercises sound judgment, knowledge, and creativity in decision making. 5. Takes on personal development and building a learning environment. 6. Completes and demonstrates competency in all mandatory trainings asidentified by the organization including knowledge of child and adolescentgrowth and development. 7. Participates in additional trainings as identified in supervision or byexternal licensing, contractual, and accreditation organizations.III. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representativeof the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education, Training and Experience Masters degree in Psychology Appropriately licensed/certified by the Pennsylvania Board of EducationalExaminers Post Masters level of professional training in an approved school psychologytraining program with institutional recommendations. (Educational Specialistdegree Ed.S.) Basic computer and technology skills.B. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Certified by the National School Psychology Certification Board (NSPCB). Certified by National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). Pennsylvania Teachers Certification as a School Psychologist.C. Ongoing Training and CredentialingIV. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of thosean employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilitiesto perform the essential functions. A. The School Psychologist will work indoors, outdoors, on campus and offcampus with frequent stressful situations. B. There is a 37.5 hour plus work week that includes occasional weekend andevening work.
