It comprises employee, public, and executive communications as well as media relations. The team aligns and integrates the Banks public-facing communications on policy, research, banking, and community issues while ensuring employees are informed and engaged in our work and the Banks mission.The Role:Overview:The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is seeking a vice president to lead its integrated communications function, which encompasses employee communications, public engagement, executive communications, and media relations. The vice president reports to the Dallas Feds senior vice president and chief of staff. This position is responsible for the oversight and execution of operational goals and objectives related to integrated communications.Successful development and implementation of strategic communications processes, programs and platforms will include maintaining close connections with media, enhancing employee and public understanding of regional economic conditions and policy, broadening and deepening the reach of Dallas Fed research and resources, and overseeing the distribution of official public communications across a broad spectrum of media.The ideal candidate is an experienced professional who has built high-performing employee experience, communications, and public relations teams. They have recent, high-level experience with organizations involved in public policy and can drive effective communication strategies that enhance organizational effectiveness, culture, reputation, and stakeholder engagement. They can lead teams that develop, execute and measure communications strategies to amplify the policy influence of the organization. They can drive employee communications to align with the organizations strategic plan, disseminate and reinforce organizational culture, and increase employee engagement.Key Responsibilities:Lead the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas communications team in developing and implementing a robust, innovative strategy that will shape the Banks public image and convey its story to the public and employees. The strategy will optimize communications to advance the Banks mission and align to organizational priorities.Enhance and operate within a data-driven, analytical culture that speaks to a diversity of audiences, including effectively engaging with subject-matter experts on complex or nuanced issues and distilling key messages succinctly for oral or written communications.Serve as a strategic advisor on all communication-related topics to the Dallas Feds president and senior leadership.Direct the Banks executive and policy communications efforts, with particular focus on supporting the Dallas Fed presidents engagement on a regional, national, and global level.Broaden the Banks public presence as a primary source of credible, nonpartisan information on the economy, banking, and the Fed to fulfill one of the primary roles of a regional Federal Reserve Bank.Drive appropriate coverage of the Dallas Fed and policy activity in local and national media and other channels through proactive media relationship management.Develop, maintain, and execute effective crisis management strategies, including anticipating, planning, and establishing appropriate response teams, tactics, and strategies.Ensure communications drive employee engagement and effectively use all internal communication platforms to keep employees updated on important Bank events and initiatives.Oversee the metrics and targets used to measure the effectiveness of communication programs and initiatives.Build teams and develop leaders and employees to deliver high-quality services, products, and results.Foster an inclusive environment in which employees are encouraged to continually learn, develop, and contribute to Federal Reserve Bank and System goals.Encourage a diverse and inclusive environment that rewards and recognizes individuals for creative ideas and appropriate risk-taking.Bachelors degree is required. Graduate degree preferred. Relevant, sustained experience and a proven track record in the field can be substituted for graduate degree.10 years of experience in a complex internal and external communications corporate setting, and at least 5 years experience leading media and digital communications teams.Experience in media relations and issues management, business communications, integrated communications, content marketing, public relations, and content creation.Experience developing and maintaining relationships with national and local news media to support the reputation of the organization.Economic expertise and background in economic or financial policy.Government or Federal Reserve experience preferred.Deep interest in public service and commitment to the mission of the Federal Reserve System.Strong interpersonal and relationshipbuilding skills.Strategic thinking, program and project management skills, managerial skills, poise, and a high degree of professionalism.Excellent written and oral communication skills.
