The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Analyst for our automated material handling systems for the Cash Services Department. This position will ensure optimal day-to-day operations and long-term objectives are met by overseeing the automated and application systems of the Cash Services Department. This position is ideally suited for an individual who is self-motivated, is adept at problem solving and thrives in a dynamic fast-paced environment. Due to the operational nature of this position, this role is 100% on site. Normal shift hours are Mon - Fri 9am - 5:30pm. This position will backup the opening Analyst (6am - 3pm). Occasional after hours testing to include evenings and weekends will be dispersed amongst the 3 person team. Job Responsibilities: The Cash Services operation is highly dependent on an automated material handling system to move large volumes of currency throughout the operation. This automated material handling system involves three Automated Guided Vehicles that traverse the operation as well as three Storage and Retrieval Machines that store and retrieve currency from the vault. Maintaining this system is the top priority and is critical to the operation in order to function and fulfill essential objectives. Oversees key national projects including automation efforts. Acts as project leader and /or facilitates team efforts on highly complex System and local projects. Communicates and collaborates across System resources and department functions to resolve complex business and/or technical issues. Provides high level expertise on project management, business, financial and technological issues. Coordinate with Financial Management Group staff regarding Department forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation. Provide budget and analytical support to the Director and Department Officer for the Ninth District (Minneapolis and Helena) Cash operations. Analyze volume trends and project currency and coin volumes for use in the annual metric setting process. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 years of analysis or related experience to include data analysis, budgeting and forecasting. (5 years of experience required for the level III and 8 years of experience required for the level IV) Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills along with attention to detail. Ability to analyze data for trends and proactively identify and communicate needed adjustments. Advanced Excel skills and a high level of proficiency with Word and PowerPoint. Proven ability to conceptualize, plan, develop, and complete large scale, complex, technical projects, and manage simultaneous projects and initiatives.
