Position Summary

Federal Data Systems is seeking a Software Applications Developer who can assist USCYBERCOM by automating business processes and procedures. We are looking for someone to help modernize web-based capabilities and solutions for our valued customers. You will be asked to review customer requirements, make logical recommendations, and then implement and maintain solutions utilizing cutting edge processes and technology.

Essential Job Functions

• Analyze requirements to derive software design; design, develop, test, deploy and maintain web-based software applications.
• Transform business and functional requirements into technical solutions; resolve complex technical problems. 
• Conduct root cause analysis, review code and perform unit testing. 
• Clearly and regularly communicate with customers and team; meet deadlines and thrive in a team setting.
• Research and implement new development techniques and technologies; perform coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting. 
• Write and review software documentation.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Required Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI Polygraph.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in application software development. 
• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related discipline (or an additional five years of experience). 
• Active CCNA Security, CySA , GICSP, GSEC, Security CE, CND, or SSCP certification (minimum DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification). 
• Experience with front-end web technologies and frameworks: HTML5, JSON, CSS, JavaScript.

Desired/Preferred Skills:

• Cloud Design and Development.
• 2 years hands-on experience with SharePoint Platforms (2010, 2013, 2016). 
• Experience with Atlassian products (JIRA and Confluence). 
• Experience with ServiceNow. 
• Experience with business process automation Exposure.

Working Conditions: 

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager. 

Physical Requirements: 

May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday. 

Background Screening/Check/Investigation: 

Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.
