Position Summary

Federal Data Systems Cyber is seeking a Senior Network and Computer Systems Administrator to install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. May monitor and test Web site performance to ensure Web sites operate correctly and without interruption. May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. May supervise computer user support specialists and computer network support specialists. May administer network security measures. 

Essential Job Functions

• Organizes and directs the configuration and operation of information management systems.
• Provides day-to-day system administration to include system and resource optimization, and user assistance. Conducts capacity and performance analysis, and provides system configuration change and upgrade recommendations.
• Increases system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develops system administrator procedures, and conducts system administrator training and skills assessment.
• Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities and programming techniques and controls. 

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Required Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI Polygraph.
• Education/Experience: 

• BA/BS 10 IAT Level II

Working Conditions: 

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager. 

Physical Requirements: 

May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday. 

Background Screening/Check/Investigation: 

Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.
