Fayetteville Woodpeckers is Hiring a Sponsorships Manager Near Fayetteville, NC

Department: Sales

Reports to: General Manager

Classification: Full-Time/Exempt

Summary/Objective:

The Manager of Sponsorships will be responsible for generating business revenue through prospecting and developing new and current partnerships. This position will oversee, train, and develop the Partnership Activation Coordinator position with the Fayetteville Woodpeckers.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Research, prospect, and establish leads with local, regional, and national businesses through networking, use of third-party lead services, and cold calls.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and business proposals to existing and prospective clients.
  • Cultivate new and existing corporate partner relationships through outstanding customer service to drive revenue.
  • Represent the organization at in-house ballpark events and off-site community events.
  • Achieve established sales goals as set by supervisor.
  • Train and manage performance of Partnership Activation Coordinator position
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelors’ degree in Business (or related field) or equivalent work experience
  • 1 years’ experience in sales and/or customer service with proven ability to meet sales goals preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent oral communication, customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills; professionalism
  • Proficient computer skills with MS Office experience
  • Consistent and punctual
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Bilingual is a plus

Supervisory Responsibility

This position manages the Partner Activation Coordinator position and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of employees within the department.

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Travel

Rare travel may be expected for this position.
