Title: Counselor
Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire
Setting: Family Counseling
Location: Fredericksburg, VA
Schedule: FT, M-F (an occasional Saturday) 5:30 – 2. No on-call required!
Pay: Based on experience
The Counselor duties to include, but not be limited to:
- Assessing client for substance abuse diagnosis using DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) criteria in determining the appropriate level of care based on ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria
- Maintain client caseload (including all case management and utilization review updates). Treatment planning duties and clinical charting as required
- Provide coordination of support services for the client/family and record the services provided in the client’s clinical record
- 4-year degree in a social science discipline with a CSAC or CSAC eligible (minimum requirement)
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, marriage, and family therapy and one year in the field. (preferred)
- CSAC, LMFT (Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LSAT, or LRIC license preferred
- COVID –19 Vaccination / approved exemption status
