Job Summary: We are currently seeking reliable and responsible individuals to join our team as Independent Drivers. As an Independent Driver, you will be responsible for delivering in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. You must own your own full-size cargo van/sprinter van and/or reliable car/SUV.

Responsibilities:

● Safely operate a [car, SUV, cargo van, truck, etc.] to deliver goods to designated locations.

● Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations at all times.

● Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, performing routine inspections and

maintenance as needed.

● Provide excellent customer service to customers or recipients of delivered goods.

● Communicate effectively with dispatchers or supervisors to coordinate routes and

schedules.

● Follow instructions and fulfill delivery requirements according to company policies and

procedures.

● Maintain accurate records of mileage, hours worked, and deliveries made.

Required Qualifications:

● Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is mandatory for operating a vehicle

legally.

● Reliable Vehicle: Independent contractor delivery drivers must have access to a reliable

vehicle (car, cargo/sprinter van, suv, etc.) for transportation purposes.

● Insurance: Proof of valid auto insurance coverage for the vehicle used for delivery

services is essential.

● Clean Driving Record: A clean driving record with no history of major traffic violations

or accidents is required for safe and responsible driving.

● Time Management Skills: Strong time management skills are crucial for meeting

delivery schedules and deadlines.

● Customer Service Skills: Basic customer service skills to interact professionally with

clients and recipients during deliveries.

● Communication Skills: Adequate communication skills to convey information

effectively with dispatchers, clients, and recipients as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

● Experience: Previous experience in delivery driving or a related field is preferred but not

mandatory.

● Knowledge of Local Area: Familiarity with local roads, neighborhoods, and routes is

beneficial for efficient navigation.

● Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays,

based on delivery demands.

● Problem-Solving Abilities: Capacity to troubleshoot and resolve delivery-related issues

as they arise during the course of duty.

● Tech Savvy: Comfortable using navigation apps or GPS systems for route planning and

navigation.

● Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing

the company during deliveries.

● Reliability: Dependability and punctuality are preferred attributes for meeting delivery

schedules consistently.

● Attention to Detail: Ability to follow delivery instructions accurately and ensure the safe

handling of packages.

Physical Demands of the Job:

● Lifting and Carrying: Independent contractor delivery drivers may be required to lift

and carry packages of varying sizes and weights, ranging from small parcels to larger

items. This can involve frequent bending, stooping, and lifting. Must be able to lift a

minimum of 50 lbs.

● Loading and Unloading: Drivers may need to load and unload packages from their

vehicle multiple times throughout the day, which can involve physical exertion.

● Driving: Driving for extended periods can be physically demanding, requiring good

posture and concentration to maintain safe and alert driving.

● Walking and Standing: Some deliveries may require walking long distances or standing

for extended periods, especially in urban areas or locations without convenient parking.

● Repetitive Movements: Delivery tasks may involve repetitive movements, such as

reaching, stretching, and handling packages, which can contribute to fatigue over time.

Work Environment:

● Vehicle: Independent contractor delivery drivers spend the majority of their workday

inside their vehicle, driving to various locations to make deliveries.

● Weather Conditions: Drivers are exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including heat,

cold, rain, snow, and humidity, depending on the geographical location and season.

● Traffic Conditions: Drivers must navigate through various traffic conditions, including

congested city streets, highways, and residential areas, which can be stressful and

demanding.

● Delivery Locations: Deliveries may be made to a variety of locations, including

residential homes, businesses, warehouses, and retail stores, each with its own set of

challenges and requirements.

● Interaction with Others: Drivers may interact with clients, recipients, and colleagues

during the course of their deliveries, requiring good communication and interpersonal

skills.

● Safety Considerations: Independent contractor delivery drivers must adhere to safety

protocols and guidelines to ensure their own safety and the safety of others on the road

and at delivery locations.

Compensation:

● Payment Structure: Independent contractor delivery drivers will be compensated based

on [the size of the order, miles driven from pickup location to destination,

unloading/loading requirements and vehicle required].

● Earnings Potential: The earning potential for independent contractor delivery drivers

can vary depending on factors such as delivery volume, peak season and the amount of

orders you personally accept that are sent to you.

● Bonus Opportunities: Drivers may be eligible for bonus opportunities based on

performance, such as completing a certain number of deliveries within a specified time

frame and maintaining a high customer satisfaction rating.

● Payment Schedule: Payments will be made weekly via [direct deposit, check, Cash App
