Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting furniture to various locations in a timely and efficient manner. This is a vital role in our organization, ensuring that our customers receive their orders promptly and in excellent condition.
Duties:
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, such as a box truck or van, to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload products from the vehicle using appropriate equipment
- Plan delivery routes and navigate through traffic to ensure on-time deliveries
- Verify the accuracy of orders before loading them onto the vehicle
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
- Follow all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding delivery schedules, vehicle maintenance, and safety protocols
- Perform routine inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance or repair needs
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organizing shipments
Skills:
- Commercial driving experience preferred
- Familiarity with operating a variety of vehicles, including manual transmission
- Ability to safely operate a refrigerated trailer (if applicable)
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order delivery
- Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading of products and moving heavy items
- Good time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
