Job Overview: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing sales and tax returns, ensuring compliance with business licenses, and contributing to month-end financial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, a meticulous eye for accuracy, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Responsibilities:

1. Sales and Tax Management:
   • Prepare and file accurate and timely sales and tax returns in compliance with applicable regulations.
   • Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the company's financial practices.
   • Collaborate with external tax advisors to optimize tax strategies and ensure adherence to tax compliance.
2. Business License Compliance:
   • Manage and maintain business licenses, ensuring all renewals are completed promptly.
   • Coordinate with local authorities to obtain necessary licenses and permits.
3. Review/Approve Expense reports:
   • Review and approve expense reports for corporate office.
   • Reporting personal reimbursements to HR for processing through ADP.
4. Month-End Processes:
   • Contribute to the month-end closing process by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting in financial statement preparation.
   • Generate financial reports and provide analysis to support decision-making.
5. General Accounting Duties:
   • Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
   • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
6. Audit Support:
   • Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation and explanations as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant, preferably with a focus on sales and tax responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
