Job Summary:
The Admitting Clinician is responsible for providing a variety of SUD and COD Screening, Intake, case management, referral and crisis response for both OTP and Outpatient clients. The employee may also provide case management, data collection, and other duties as described below:
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)
• Complete intakes on all incoming individuals, including necessary consents, releases, demographic information, etc.
• Conduct assessments, to include diagnostic impressions.
• Assess Level of Care as determined by the LOCADTR.
• Provide services in alignment with Federal and State statutes as it applies to HIPAA, 42 CFR, OMIG and OASAS.
• Facilitate necessary referrals and follow-up as needed (i.e., utilizing referral platforms such as Unite Us).
• Participate in treatment planning and goal setting with program participants.
• Individual and Group Counseling.
• Provide family orientation and support.
• Completes necessary documentation according to agency and regulatory guidelines.
• Scheduling appropriate appointments.
• Perform a variety of miscellaneous duties as requested to support department and or organization objectives including, but not limited to, completing, and maintaining accurate and detailed client case records and related reports as required by agency procedures in accordance with the OASAS regulations, and responding to inquiries.
• Maintain professional growth and development by attending staff meetings, events, and other training.
• Understand the specific implications of VBH/VBP on day-to-day duties on the job.
• Other clinical responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of a HS Diploma or GED, and acquisition of training certificate by completing 350 hours of education or 85 hours of section one, and 4,000 of work hours experience or its equivalent
