3CON is seeking a Senior Machine Tool Builder to become a part of our team in Wixom, MI . We are a tier one automotive supplier who builds specialized tools. You will be responsible for jobs from the beginning stages to the completion and installation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, troubleshoot, and maintain automated equipment per mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Perform final installation and run-off of equipment and tools at 3CON and customer facilities.
• Communicate with Production Manager and Program Managers regarding updates and open topics on projects.
• Assist engineering with onsite requests for engineering changes on equipment and tools and report feasibility with time, material, and services needed to complete the change.
• Effectively and safely operate a broad range of tool room equipment to recondition and modify components.
• Keep detailed service reports records and ensure the customer acknowledges closed and open items listed per the scope of the work for the project or tasks.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience with tool making and custom equipment building preferably in the automotive manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of pneumatic schematics troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of Catia other CAD software would be preferred.
• Working knowledge of CATIA or other CAD software.
• Willingness to travel (up to 10%) within the United States.
• A valid passport is preferred.
