Assistant Dispensary Manager

Position Summary

The Assistant Dispensary Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the dispensary and supports dispensary retail leadership including regulatory compliance, cash handling, and inventory management.

Job Duties/Essential Functions

● Manage and direct the activities of the team

● Ability to communicate efficiently, effectively, and professionally; ability to lead during stressful situations

● Scheduling within the dispensary, ensuring all business needs are met, while maintaining budgetary expectations

● Assign work and monitor progress; guide, train, and develop employees for success

● Skilled in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, and implementing recommendations in support of company goals

● Ability to research, evaluate and adapt to new methods, compliance updates and techniques for operational improvement

● Receives and inventories incoming regulated and unregulated products with the Inventory Manager

● Tracks and monitors inventory using the state inventory tracking system

● Maintains POS platform and ensures all technology systems operate effectively

● Physically secures active stock inventory in display and/or storage areas and secures back stock inventory within the vault

● Physically audits inventory for accuracy against inventory tracking system and business management platform data at designated intervals with the Inventory Manager

● Supervision and control of medical marijuana and medical marijuana products under the custody of a dispensary

● Adequate safeguards of medical marijuana and medical marijuana products to assure that the sale or distribution of medical marijuana and medical marijuana products will occur only by dispensary employees licensed by the state Board of Pharmacy

● Handles cash in compliance with company policies including deposits, change orders, etc.

● Maintaining all required dispensary records

● Other job duties as assigned

Essential Job Functions:

Ability to operate Dutchie Online Marketplace, Leaf Logix Dutchie Point of Sale, OAARS, and Microsoft hardware and software.

Ability to operate cash register, tabletop, and hand scanners.

Non-Essential Functions

Assist with other departments as needed.

Experience, skills, education & licenses/certifications

Required:

Ohio State Board of Pharmacy E-license Registration and Certification, including

- BCI/FBI Background check clearance

- Ohio State Dispensary Attestation completion

Online METRC Training Certificate

Successfully passing a Drug Screening

High School Diploma or GED required.

Recommended:

Previous retail management experience preferred

Previous cannabis industry experience preferred

● Ability to work up to 10 hours a day and rotating shifts

● Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends and holidays

● Ability to lift, push, and pull 75 pounds

● Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a workday

● Ability to stand for extended periods of time

● Extended computer usage

● Comfortable being under constant video surveillance

● Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, and noise.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
