Family Service Assoc Brand is Hiring a Parent Facilitator II Near San Antonio, TX

Job Title: Facilitator II

Location: The Neighborhood Place / 3014 Rivas Street / San Antonio, TX 78228

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (some evenings/weekends may be required)

Essential Functions:

  1. Ensures that clients have access, as needed, to all five pillars of the social determinants of health with a trauma informed lens through Agency services and/or community partners.
  2. Plan, present, and facilitate intervention, prevention, and educational sessions or group meetings for children, youth and adult participants. Ensure recruitment, retention, implementation and completion rates for service participation are maintained in accordance with curriculum fidelity/requirements.
  3. Provide individuals and families with resource and referral information for community agencies and conduct follow-up on referrals.
  4. Develop and maintain collaborative working arrangements with local governments (municipal, county, and independent school districts), community-based agencies or local offices of State and Federal agencies, and community residents.
  5. Maintain client contact records needed for monthly statistical reports and implement the program’s system to collect, report, and analyze service and productivity data.
  6. Assist in entering client information, service activity participation, and attendance into the agency’s database and/or other tracking/reporting system as required by agency need.
  7. Assist in securing program presentation sites and selecting materials for use in the various program specific prevention and education services.
  8. Assist in recruiting, interviewing, training and placing service volunteers annd community partners.
  9. Attend agency, program and staff/team meetings, peer consultations, and other meetings as assigned.
  10. Maintain good relationships with stakeholders (including current and potential clients, community and co-workers), focusing on providing excellent and culturally sensitive customer service and presenting a positive image of the agency in all community and stakeholder interactions.
  11. Maintain a working environment which encourages mutual respect, promotes respectful and congenial relationships between employees and is free from all forms of harassment.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned, including presentations to community groups and organizations, in accordance with the agency’s “team” philosophy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training/Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in education, health, social work, or other related human service field, plus two (2) years of related work experience, with some background in developing and presenting prevention and education workshops or programs is desirable, case management or social service delivery;
  2. Associate’s degree in education, health, social work, or other related human service field plus four (4) years of related work experience with some background in developing and presenting prevention and education workshops or programs is desirable, case management or social service delivery;
  3. High School Diploma or equivalent plus four (7) years of related work experience, with some background in developing and presenting prevention and education workshops or programs is desirable, case management or social service delivery.
  4. Experience in understanding cultural differences and is sensitive to the implications of culture for service delivery.
  5. Fluent in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak) desirable.
  6. Staff will be required to submit proof of their vaccination status or may request to be exempt from vaccination due to a religious and/or medical accommodation.
  7. Certificate or license, as applicable, by the appropriate State agency as a qualified practitioner.\
  8. State of Texas vehicle operator’s license and proof of liability insurance
