The High Quality Substitute is responsible for the supervision, safety and well-being of children ranging from ages 0-17 and some young adults with Special Needs, while maintaining a safe, clean and presentable environment for clients and their children in accordance with the agency and respective partner’s mission, policies and procedures, while ensuring that services provided are in alignment with the Social Determinants of Health through a trauma informed care lens as defined by the agency. The High Quality Substitute works in collaboration with partner staff to provide high quality engagement and supervision of the children whose parents attend partnering program classes; to include meal service, age appropriate activities, documentation, record-keeping and other tasks and duties necessary in order to safeguard the flow of the program schedule. The High Quality Substitute will be required to assist in various settings and/or locations as assigned, and moves from classroom to classroom or location to location as needed and directed. This is a year round position.
