Family Development Services' full time Kitchen Aide/Food Service Driver will assist with utility duties related to food preparation, including cleaning of kitchen area and food preparation equipment in the central kitchen. This position is also responsible for transporting meals to Head Start Centers following the established route.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Proper preparation and storage of food, serving equipment, and cooking utensils.
• Assists in packing meals for distribution.
• Cleans work areas, equipment, and utensils, segregates, and removes garbage, steam cleans or hoses garbage containers, and mops.
• Stocks, sorts, and organizes kitchen supplies in central kitchen
• Maintains accurate records about the daily operations of the vehicle, as well as the daily transportation and service of meals/supplies to the centers on your route.
• Loads meals, supplies, and carriers from central kitchen onto truck or van.
• Collects or pick up empty containers or rejected / unused food.
• Maintains sanitary condition of food during transit and during delivery.

Applicants must meet the following basic qualifications for consideration:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Driver's License (Required)
• Previous related experience driving a commercial vehicle.

Applicants with the following qualifications are preferred:

• Familiarity with sanitary cleaning practices, supplies and equipment.
• Ability to use cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow simple oral and written instructions.
