Family Development Services ~A Head Start Organization~ is Hiring a Food Service Driver Near Indianapolis, IN
Family Development Services is seeking a full time Food Service Driver. This position is responsible for transporting meals to the Head Start Centers in Marion County and Hamilton County locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Operate agency vehicle/s safely and follow all traffic laws to deliver meals to appropriate center locations.
- Maintain accurate records about the daily operations of the vehicle, as well as the daily transportation and service of meals/supplies to the centers on your route.
- Load meals, supplies, and carriers from central kitchen onto truck or van.
- Collect or pick up empty containers or rejected / unused food.
- Maintain sanitary condition of food during transit and during delivery.
- Work with others in the central kitchen to maintain safe and sanitary conditions.
- Physical demands may include employee occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds
Applicants must meet the basic qualifications for consideration:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid Driver's License (Required) and/or CDL (Preferred)
- Previous related experience driving a commercial vehicle.
