M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to join our team at the Surgical Specialty Clinic located in Maplewood MN. Join M Health Fairview, the largest healthcare system in the state! The M Health Fairview Maplewood Surgical Specialty Clinic is a growing and collaborative clinic. Our clinic is open Monday - Friday 7AM - 5PM, so no evenings, weekends, or holidays! This provides an excellent work life balance! Surgical specialties includes ENT, gen surg, plastics, and comp weight. The candidate will work with a variety of people who are pt focused and support each other. We're looking for responsible, reliable people with high integrity to join this highly cohesive team.
This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two week pay period), benefits-eligible opening.
The schedule for this opening wall range from 07:00AM and 5PM Monday - Friday.

This is full time MA role working in our surgical specialty clinics at Maplewood, primarily in home department of ENT and covering other departments as needed.
Responsibilities Job DescriptionAs a member of the patients care team, a Medical Assistant supports quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families. The Medical Assistant will collect information and detail the patient's visit. MA's are responsible for adhering to policies, procedures and practice guidelines; promoting communication with all members of the team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow. Typical MA duties including chart prep, scheduling, rooming, procedures, instrument processing, stocking, supplies, and other tasks within scope as needed.
Medical Assistants deliver care as delegated by the patients Physicians, or RN. They are able to prioritize work based on need, available resources, patient preferences, provider schedule, and work in collaboration with the physician/authorized practitioner as well as other health care team members. You may also perform high, and low risk, technical procedures during your daily work which could include: medication administration, assistance with CPR, assistance with procedures which may include lab draws
