job purpose:

The Supply Chain Planner, Co-Manufacturing is responsible for the end-to-end supply chain planning in support of co-manufacturing operations from our fairlife investment in Waco, TX. Key responsibilities of the role will include owning the creation and development of production planning, milk and materials requirements planning, production capacity planning, as well as finished goods distribution planning for the Waco, TX production facility. This role will work cross functionally with key members of the newly created Co-Manufacturing team, Manufacturing, and the extended Supply Chain Organization (Procurement, Logistics, Planning, Quality etc.). This role will drive value by delivering an efficient and optimal production schedule built to ensure target customer service levels are met and exceeded, while promoting an optimal cost structure of the production network.

responsibilities:

  • Responsible for end-to-end supply chain planning in support of the production ramp up of a co-manufacturing Line Waco, TX.
  • Direct responsibility for reducing costs and increasing efficiency and productivity by delivering an optimized finite production schedule, taking into consideration key inputs such as line capability, inbound milk requirements, shipment/depletion demand, target inventory levels, and material on hand inventory and inbound lead times.
  • Ownership of the development and communication of an optimized 13-week production schedule to site operations and supporting supply chain teams weekly, with consideration to weekly shipment demand, production performance and targeted efficiency, milk and material requirements, warehouse capacity, and finished goods distribution requirements.
  • Responsible for the conversion and administration of the mid-range (13 week) schedule into a rolling 4-week finite production line schedule with a 2-week frozen horizon in collaboration with site operations. Planner will be responsible for daily updates and communication for the finite schedule as well as attainment-to-schedule (ATS) and line performance measurements.
  • Responsible for the materials, ingredients, and finished goods inventory to ensure on-hand supply supports requirements of the finished goods production and distribution plans inclusive of on hand inventory counts to determine materials and ingredient count accuracy when required.
  • Responsible for daily/weekly creations of production orders in D365 and any required inventory transaction and/or adjustments for finished goods and materials in partnership with Accounting/Controllership team(s).
  • Lead daily calls with Co-Manufacturing team, site operations team, and supporting supply chain functions. Planner will share accountability with Sr. Manager Co-Manufacturing on the successful execution of the production plan in alignment to set growth targets from Operations Leadership.
  • Will partners with network fairlife distribution planning and Coca-Cola NAOU supply planning team on fulfillment strategy, finished goods shipment planning, and oversite of associated transactions in SAP (ERP) to execute.
  • Collaborates with network milk planning, operations team in Dexter, and Transportation on inbound milk requirements to form a processing schedule and inbound milk load schedule that supports finished goods production line requirement.
  • Responsible for logistics management on inbound milk loads in partnership with Transportation team and Dexter Operations inclusive on scheduling and management of inbound shipments and carrier partnerships.
  • Direct responsibility for developing and executing material run out plans when changes are made to a finished good bill of materials.
  • Proactive management and cross functional communication of quality concerns or other initiatives impacting the production schedule.
  • Responsible for regular report out (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) to Supply Chain Leadership team on KPI’s. This may include developing recommended measures beyond what is currently in practice.
  • Continuous monitoring and proactive management of finished goods inventory levels to ensure a balanced level and efficient storage utilization.
  • Demonstrate value through leadership, with a detailed and innovative approach along with proactive communications.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and sound judgment in all situations.
  • Brings a curiosity for the details along and with a determination to pursue continuous improvement opportunities in alignment to the company’s growth objectives.

skills/qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years relevant experience
  • 3 – 5 years’ professional experience in Supply Chain
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Access) skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Conducts themselves with a high-level of integrity and transparency.
  • Programming (SQL/Python) and Data Visualization (PowerBI) preferred
  • Dynamics 365 experience preferred but not required

travel requirements: 60%- 80% travel through first 9-12 months of role.
