The Night Audit position will receive paid vacation time and WA paid sick time. Paid vacation starts at one week per year after 1 year of employment and increases to two weeks per year after 3 years of employment and increases to three weeks per year after 5 years of employment; a week is calculated as the average number of hours worked per week in the previous year. WA paid sick time accrues at 1 hour per 40 hours worked. There are escalating milestone anniversary gifts at each year of employment. Job Summary: Provide outstanding guest service by providing the guest with assistance in any area necessary, answer PBX, make reservations, check-in and checkout guests. In addition, post any charges incurred during stay.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Impress Guests. Greet all guests with a friendly welcome and a smile. Respond promptly to guest questions complaints and requests.
2. Maintain a clean, pleasant and professional image to the guest and wear the proper uniform at all times. Keep working area clean and organized.
3. Supply information about the hotel’s services, the community, points of interest, accurate travel directions, etc.
4. Work lobby bar as needed and necessary.
5. Clean lobby area to maintain a clean, neat and professional atmosphere.
6. Answer the phone within 3 rings and direct calls professionally and courteously. Take accurate messages and deliver them promptly.
7. Complete guest check-ins and checkouts according to standards of service.
8. Sell rooms as needed and make reservations when requested, using knowledge of room rates and selling restrictions and strategies.
9. Complete all duties as specified on shift checklist. Print reports as assigned.
10. Review all daily events to assist incoming guests with the location of their functions.
11. Communicate all guests at risk with supervisor and or manager on duty.
12. Communicate with other hotel departments regarding guest service requests or complaints.
13. Responsible for the shift cash drawer and balance to report at the end of each shift.
14. Handle credit card transactions according to set accounting procedures.
15. Run audit reports, deliver express checkouts and perform computer audit per brand standards
16. Provide assistance to other team members to contribute to the smooth operation of the department and the hotel.
17. Create a comfortable guest experience by immediately taking care of requests including but not limited to beverage service, baggage handling, extra amenities, rollaways, cribs, and anything else requested by the guest.
18. Perform all duties as required and other tasks as assigned while following good housekeeping habits and safe work practices
19. Must be willing and able to drive hotel van to accommodate guest needs, if applicable.
20. Responsible for Hilton Honors/IHG Reward/Choice Privileges/Marriott Rewards sign ups and passing test calls. This includes increasing sign ups year over year/meeting brand standard and a monthly percentage of 90% or higher for test calls. No exceptions will be made.
21. Master all Sterling Initiatives, delivery outstanding service to our guests.
