Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Front Desk Agent. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Check-in and check-out guests, ensuring accuracy of information and payment processing
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a timely and courteous manner
- Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and dining options
- Assist with guest requests, including room service orders, transportation arrangements, and special accommodations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front desk area
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with empathy and problem-solving skills
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
- Marriot experience is preferred but not required
- Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using computer systems and software, including QuickBooks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Knowledge of event planning and coordination is a plus
- Familiarity with proofreading documents for accuracy
- Experience in data entry or file management is beneficial
- Ability to provide exceptional customer support with professionalism and empathy
- Strong phone etiquette skills with the ability to handle high call volumes
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations
