Fairbanks Scales is Hiring an Electronic Assembler A Near St Johnsbury, VT

Summary

Performs combinations of electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, final assemblies, tests and packaging functions. Assist the Scale Mechanic Utility A in set-up, assembly, dis-assembly, and repair of electro - mechanical sub-assemblies, final assemblies and scale products to Fairbanks and customer expectations and specifications.

Essential Job Duties

  • Work from blueprints or verbal/ written direction to determine proper components and placement of unassembled parts to manufacture and assemble electro - mechanical sub assembly's, final assembly's, scales, and scale products.
  • Work to meet daily production needs in a safe and productive manner.
  • Fill out appropriate paperwork as required.
  • Performs pass/ fail tests and packs instruments or integral light capacity scale.
  • Keep work area organized and orderly.
  • Make sure that production parts, tools, test equipment and documentation are properly stored and maintained.
  • Can perform duties of lower labor grade job descriptions.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have held the position of ESA, successfully completed Fairbanks Scales Basic Electronics training course or posess the equivalent assembly experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - May be representative, but not all-inclusive, of those knowledge, skills and abilities commonly associated with this position.

  • Critical thinker with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive and productive business relationships.

Work Environment

  • General factory conditions. Exposed to moderate noise levels.
  • The typical schedule is weekdays 7:00 am - 3:30
  • Must be able to don PPE including safety shoes, or glasses where required in the on-site manufacturing areas.

Physical Abilities

  • Required to use close vision and be able to focus.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear; frequently required to sit, stand and bend at the knee and waist, and walk.
  • Must be able to have repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement to type and work on computer.
  • Must have finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination to work on computer, telephone, and related office equipment.
  • Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
