Full-Time Accounts Payable Team Leader at H.B. Fuller Available Openings: 1 Posted Date: May 14, 2021 Industry: Accounting, Financial Pay Type: Salary Compensation: TBD Education Level: Bachelor's Degree The Accounts Payable (AP) Team Leader reports to the Accounts Payable Manager and has responsibility for various AP functions and compliance work. Position will also manage the day-to-day activity, as well as monitor and report all A/P activities for the 10 manufacturing sites, formerly known as Royal Adhesives.
**Responsibilities**
* Train and lead accounts payable team members
* Ensure that payables are recorded in compliance with GAAP, SOX, and H.B. Fullers internal policies
* Provide day-to-day prioritization to A/P team (daily report)
* Complete month-end close responsibilities as assigned
* Ensure all the department tasks, are completed timely and accurate. Including AP aging analysis, accruals analysis, RNI and GR/IR, etc.
* Support and monitor defined AP KPI`s (daily, weekly, monthly)
* Develop and implement processes for effective issue escalation and resolution
* Identify, analyze and solve complex issues
* Establish strong network with key internal/external stakeholders and provide partnership through quality service delivery and timely issue resolution
* Maintain a high degree of customer service to vendors and internal H.B. Fuller employees utilizing the departments services
* Support the plants to ensure timely resolution of issues/questions
* Routinely and accurately perform back-up responsibilities within Royal A/P and/or another Royal GFS department
* Participate or lead projects as assigned and help with system testing as a lead participant
**Team Development / Leadership (15%)**
* Demonstrate leadership and decision-making skills that ensure a teamwork environment.
* Provide leadership to the team taking accountability for team performance.
* Train employees to enhance their performance, development, and work production.
**Compliance (5%)**
* Assist with 1099 reporting and audits.
* Provide support for internal and external audits, including preparation of PBC work papers.
* Ensure internal controls and best practices are followed.
**Qualifications**
* Bachelors degree with major in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* 2 years of Accounting experience (Shared Services environment preferred)
* Proven accounting knowledge, including journal entries, accruals and closing activities
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
* Self-motivated with desire for continuous improvement
* Good organizational skills, with flexibility to accommodate shifting priorities
* Travel expected (10%)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* U.S. 1099 and Canada T4A filing experience.
* General Accounting experience
* SOX experience
* SAP/Adage
