About the Team and Role SS&C is seeking a Business Analyst to join the Sell-Side Operations team within the SS&C Eze Business Unit in our Chicago office. The Sell-Side Operations team is responsible for providing price modeling and data analysis around our Global network of Broker partners across Eze products. We lead Business Intelligence and reporting efforts for the Sell-Side Business within our group / for Executives. Additionally, we work closely with other teams to optimize / implement systems and processes supporting Sell-Side functions. In this position, the Business Analyst will work closely with the Sell Side Account Management team and with other Operations teams across the organization. As a member of the team, the Business Analyst will help maintain and improve existing processes and systems and will work collaboratively with various internal departments and senior leaders to facilitate day-to-day business workflows – focusing on clean data and efficiency of billing. The role will allow an individual to gain a knowledge of the investment process, and of SS&C’s strong presence as a leader in providing best-in-class technology solutions to the trading community. To be successful in this role, and on this team, the candidate must possess a strong sense of integrity, a willingness to step into the unfamiliar, and be someone on whom their teammates can rely. This role requires the ability to meet strict deadlines. The Business Analyst will divide time between data / modeling / analysis tasks, recurring operational activities, and project work. Day to Day Develop a deep understanding of internal/external data sources for use in analyses and modeling Leverage / improve existing Excel and Power BI modeling resources to deliver pricing impact analyses Perform monthly analytics and management reporting for Executive level Create and maintain reports / dashboards to demonstrate levels of business success Enhance modeling / reporting capabilities through advanced Microsoft (Excel / Power BI) skillset Build and improve Self Service Business Intelligence dashboards for various groups Assist in monthly billing process reviews / inputs for the Sell-Side business Utilize Excel, Power BI & PowerPoint to perform and present a variety of both periodic and ad-hoc data analyses on the SS&C Eze Sell-Side business line – summarization and visualizations are key Establish and maintain positive working relationships throughout the organization, including Service, Legal, Business Applications, Finance, Product Management and Sales personnel globally Provide general support to other Sell-Side team members Minimum Experience BS/BA degree with 1-2 years of experience in business analysis / data management / finance Experience within Financial Services industry preferred but not required Strong analytical, project management and organizational skills are critical Experience performing analysis in Excel and producing reports & dashboards required Experience with Microsoft Power Query, Excel Data Model, DAX preferred Experience with Microsoft Power BI / Tableau desired Experience with Salesforce data / reporting desired Experience with Microsoft VBA in Excel desired Experience with SQL desired Knowledge of / capacity to learn financial markets and SS&C Eze products Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment, manage multiple competing projects and deliverables, and quickly realign priorities to meet deadlines High level of integrity and sensitivity to confidential information #LI-Eze Unless explicitly requested or approached by SS&C Technologies, Inc. or any of its affiliated companies, the company will not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
