EYE-Q Vision Care is seeking applicants for the position of Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center Team at our EYE-Q Fresno Campus. Are you a perioperative nurse seeking a daytime shift and no weekends? Do you have strong Perioperative Nurse skills and looking for a facility to grow with? QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform pre-op calls to patients. Review health history, including medications, any allergies and review specific instructions for what patient need to do prior to surgery.
• Explains procedures/treatment/discharge to patient and/or family members. Follows up with patient phone calls prior to procedure and/or follow discharge.
• Circulate in Operating Room for any type of procedure, including setting up medications, blocks, instruments, supplies, equipment, and draping.
• Utilize sterile techniques when setting up a sterile area in preparation for surgery, choosing and handling instruments and supplies used during surgery.
• Care for patients immediately after surgical procedures and anesthesia.
• Responsible for narcotic keys, counts, reordering, and maintaining appropriate documentation regarding ordering, receipt, and dispensation of narcotics.
• Responsible for refrigerated medications/medical solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidates must have a RN licensure in California with the board of Registered Nursing and current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience within surgery, PACU, Post-OP setting (preferred)
• Working knowledge of health care laws, regulations, and nursing care methods and procedures
• Excellent bedside manner and communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of EMR’s

Preference will be given to applicants with experience in an optical setting. Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required. This is a full time position with a comprehensive benefits package. Hourly rate will be determined based on experience and training of the candidate.

SALARY: $46.82 - $63.99 depending on skills, experience, and certificates
