Job Description:
Eye Designs, the leader in furniture manufacturing for the eyecare industry has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant with over 5 years experience to join our organization. Qualified candidates must have a background in the manufacturing industry and have experience with job costing/.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
  • Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Support Month End and Year End Close process.
  • Reconcile Bank Statements.
  • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and maintain accurate schedules.
  • Perform Accounts Payable process including entry of credit card expenses and issuance of 1099’s.
  • Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements, including reporting and analysis for variances.
  • Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
  • Maintain accounting files.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
This position will be expected to perform and/or provide support to other company functions as needed.
Job Specifications/Experience:
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related field, CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 5 years of experience.
  • Outstanding reporting and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Expert in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office applications.
  • Able to navigate accounting systems such as Solomon, QuickBooks Online.
