SUMMARY The Lead, B2B Content specializes in leading the creation of content to support sales enablement goals. This role is integral in developing compelling content such as case studies, specialized reports or white papers, best practice guides, and targeted research to engage SHRM’s B2B prospects and clients. This position must remain abreast of the latest news in business, labor regulations, the economy, B2B technology, and popular discourse around workplace trends. They would use this expertise to develop content that speaks to business challenges, which can serve as a starting point for larger discussions with SHRM about business transformation and SHRM’s people, talent, and culture solutions and services. Responsibilities:Content Strategy and Creation: Lead the development of high-impact, enterprise-focused content marketing materials focused on sales enablement, including but not limited to articles, guides, industry reports, case studies, infographics, research insights, etc. Collaboration and Management: Collaborate closely with agencies, freelancers, and internal stakeholders to produce and refine content, including tracking expenses against a budget. Lead Generation: Plan and execute lead-generation webinars to attract and engage top-tier enterprise prospects, fostering conversations around business challenges, HR transformation, and talent development. Stakeholder Interviews: Conduct and leverage interviews with SHRM members, customers, industry experts, and prospects to produce content highlighting thought leadership, testimonials, case studies, and/or better understand business needs. Cross-functional Teamwork: Collaborate with membership, sales, and other teams within SHRM to support and drive lead generation and prospect engagement. Sales Enablement Support: Create and refine sales enablement materials to aid in enterprise sales conversations, ensuring content is tailored to meet the dynamic needs of sales teams and their clients. Communication and Distribution: Partner with the SHRM B2B Marketing team to plan and execute communication plans for sharing content assets with members and prospects. Other duties as assigned.Education & Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Business, or a related field.At least six (6) years in content creation, including aspects of marketing, with a strong preference for experience in B2B environments and engaging senior- and executive-level buyers. Proven track record in developing sales enablement materials and content strategies that align with business goals. Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from conception through execution. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Superlative oral and written communication skills and impeccable storytelling ability. Strong grasp of business fundamentals and workforce trends. Ability to absorb and synthesize large amounts of information into actionable insights. Robust organizational and time management skills; proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Experience working with executives or other individuals who need a higher level of service. An entrepreneurial spirit and a history of taking the initiative to develop new ideas, create new opportunities and find opportunities for collaboration. Comfort with ambiguity and moving targets. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint/Keynote; design experience in PowerPoint or other presentation tools is preferred. Passionate about SHRM's mission and committed to advancing the HR profession PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Capable of performing essential duties with reasonable accommodations. Work involves sitting, talking, hearing, and typing, with visual acuity required for keyboard usage, data analysis, and computer terminal operation. Occasional light lifting may be necessary. WORK ENVIRONMENTWork is regularly performed in a combination of office and conference settings and routinely uses standard office equipment.Expected office presence of 3 days per week. Minimal travel requirements, less than 10% #LI-Hybrid The hiring range for this position is $93,000 to $112,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. SHRM offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
