Trissential is currently seeking a Business Analyst & Trainer with specialized skills in Property Tax, Records & Election Services, particularly in Property Tax Accounting, to join our client team in St. Paul, MN. This position is hybrid and will go onsite as needed (approximately 2 days per week.)

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Business Analyst & Trainer to document current-state property tax-related processes and provide comprehensive training to our staff. As part of this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed swimlane and process diagrams, developing procedures and desktop references, crafting engaging training content, and delivering effective training sessions. These efforts aim to enhance our team's understanding and execution of property tax processes. Your primary project deliverables will include swimlane diagrams, detailed process diagrams, procedures and desktop references, training content development, and training delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the project drivers and expected business outcomes.
  • Develop business analysis and training approaches in collaboration with key stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.
  • Document swimlane and detailed process maps for in-scope processes.
  • Document procedures and desktop references for each process step.
  • Develop training materials and deliver training sessions.
  • Log and follow through to disposition project-related risks, action items, issues, and decisions; escalate issues and risks as needed.
  • Monitor progress, track hours, and report status.

Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • B.S. or B.A. degree (4 years), or Associates degree plus an additional 5 years of experience.

  • Proven competency in property tax calculation and accounting.

  • 5 years of experience in business process modeling.

  • 5 years of experience in developing and delivering training.

  • Intermediate-level skills in the MS Office Suite, including Visio.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience managing projects in state, county, or city governments or non-profit sector.
  • Experience with Tyler tax system software.
  • CBAP certification from IIBA, or other Business Analysis or Process-related certification.
  • Bilingual.

Experience

  • Experience in property tax calculation and accounting.
  • 5 years of experience in process modeling, including high-level swim-lane diagrams and detailed process maps, as well as writing procedures.
  • 5 years of experience in developing training content, desk references, and delivering training to small audiences; training may involve one-on-one sessions.

Benefits

The salary range for the Business Analyst & Trainer, is between $125,000 and $150,000 annually. Full time employees are eligible for company sponsored benefits including health care, paid time off, and 401k with matching.
