Job Title: Director of Construction and Maintenance

Job Purpose
The Director of Construction and Maintenance will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of facilities maintenance, construction, and expansion projects for our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction management, with a proven track record of success in managing construction projects efficiently, effectively, and within budget. Licensed or former licensed general contractor in Clark County is a plus. Essential Job Functions
1. Oversee all construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
2. Collaborate closely with the operations teams to understand project requirements and goals, and to ensure seamless coordination between construction activities and operation needs.
3. Manage and allocate resources effectively to maximize efficiency and productivity on construction sites.
4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
5. Implement cost-effective strategies to manage construction budgets, including negotiating contracts, monitoring expenses, and identifying areas of cost savings.
6. Conduct regular inspections and assessments of facilities to identify maintenance needs and prioritize repairs and improvements.
7. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to prolong the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
8. Lead and mentor a team of construction and maintenance professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
9. Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to construction and facilities management.
10.Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on project status, budget performance, and key metrics.

Work Environment
May be exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable. Work is typically performed in an office environment while sitting at a computer screen for extended periods. May work hours during the evening and on weekends.
