Customer Support Specialist:

We need a customer support specialist to join our team. You will provide support to sales representatives and respond to customer and prospect queries. The customer support specialist's responsibilities include tracking sales leads, coordinating quotes with sales packs, providing customer service, and managing customer accounts. The customer support specialist is also responsible for monitoring sales and the performance of the sales team as well as recording sales data.


  1. As a customer support specialist you must answer customer inquiries, schedule meetings, and sales appointments.
  2. ‍Follow up with customers about their order status.
  3. ‍Maintain an organized and accessible file system for administrative and sales professionals.
  4. Compiling a daily list of sales leads, delegating leads to the sales department, and providing sales data and guides to the sales department.
  5. Developing and monitoring performance indicators for sales and staff members, managing sales tracking tools, and compiling reports.
  6. Recording sales trends and liaising with account managers to develop sales strategies.
  7. Creating and processing orders in a timely manner, processing requests for rush orders, and reviewing pending orders and customer requests to ensure customer satisfaction.
  8. Managing customer accounts, following up with customers for administrative purposes, and providing troubleshooting assistance for orders, account statuses, and other problems.
  9. Performing data entry tasks for sales figures, metrics, and other relevant information and maintaining an organized and accessible filing system.
  10. Handling administrative duties for the company and its executives and management teams.
  11. Scheduling customer meetings and conferences.
  12. Reporting any unusual activity to your supervisors.
  13. Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and practices.


  1. BS degree in Marketing or associates degree in relevant field a plus
  2. ‍Proven work experience as a customer support specialist or Sales support associate
  3. ‍Understanding of efficient customer support and sales strategies
  4. Hands on experience with ERP and CRM systems, ZOHO would be a plus
  5. Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel
  6. In-depth understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  7. Excellent communication skills
  8. Analytical and multitasking skills
  9. Teamwork and leadership skills

Education, License, Certification, or Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Candidate must be highly motivated to learn, detail oriented, able to prioritize multiple tasks, and to work semi-independently
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in cross functional teams
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills that build effective working relationships with other team members.
  • Maintain professionalism and poise constantly, even when working under pressure.
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize competing tasks.

Work Environment & Mental and Physical Requirements

  • Comfortable to work in ISO 7 settings
  • This job requires presence in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other common office equipment and accessories.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position; move; operate and use required equipment; and reach items
  • Ability to move/transport up to 30 lbs., and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to communicate, converse with others, and exchange information
