Summary

Accounts receivable specialists are tasked with overseeing billing operations and processes to ensure collection of account balances. This generally entails billing for invoiced orders, supporting collection efforts, and reviewing account discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all activities related to invoicing sales of the organization
• Work with customers and our sales team to ensure accuracy of sales and accounting documents
• Provide monthly and ad hoc statements, monthly aging reports and other financial information to the senior accountant
• Maintain and update custom job cost database as it relates to invoicing
• Contact customers to resolve accounts receivables aging and overdue invoices
• Analyze accounts receivable and recommend accounting treatment and delinquent accounts
• Work closely with account executives and account managers on special invoicing requests
• Implement proper coding for sales tax reporting and commission reports
• Maintain communication with managers to obtain status on customers collection
• Review accounts receivable aging reports and making appropriate collection calls on outstanding receivable balances
• Review past due accounts for potential bad debt write-off and/or escalation to third party collections
• Generate refund, retractions, or adjustments as necessary
• Other operational or administrative duties as assigned by the senior accountant

Qualifications:

• Billing/collections specialist job prefer candidates to have relevant degree such as Bachelor's and Associate Degree in Education, Business, General Education, Associates, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare, Technical, Communication, Medical Billing
• Minimum of 3 years prior experience with accounts receivable
• High level of attention to detail; sales tax experience preferred
• QuickBooks experience required; Enterprise preferred
• NetSuite experience preferred
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Outlook, and Word
