Role: Land Surveyor / CAD Technician
Location: Multiple locations (MA)
Compensation: $80,000 - $130,000 DOE (full suite of benefits, annual bonus, hybrid work schedule)
POSITION SUMMARY: We are on the hunt for a Land Surveryor who is looking to work hand in hand with some of the best developers, architects, and agencies in New England. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Land Development and Civil Engineering, has a deep understanding of AutoCAD technologies, and has prior experience completing projects accurately and on time. DUTIES AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work closely with Designers, Engineers, and our Clients
• Provide competent and quick services to the project staff
• Suggest ways of improving the quality of the work we’re doing
• Reduce field notes while checking reductions and calculations made by others
• Prepare a variety of plans based on field and record information
• Generate quantities of different materials from surface models
• Prepare point calculations to assist field crews in construction layout
• Follow basic drafting standards
• Perform other tasks as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES:
• Surveyor-in-Training Certification is a HUGE Plus
• 2 years of Surveying experience
• Proficient with Civil 3D and Carlson Data Collection Software
• Must have a basic understanding of geometry and trigonometry
• Well versed in State Plane Coodinate systems and processing GPS data
• Strong knowledge of the procedures and best practices for surveying
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to think critically
