Excelsior Wellness is Hiring an Engagement Coordinator Near Spokane, WA

Excelsior Wellness Center serves a broad and diverse base of individuals and families with the primary aim of identifying goals and making positive steps toward accomplishing them. In our community, we are advocates and hold fast to the belief that children and families have the potential to be safer, stronger, and more satisfied in the lives they lead.

Excelsior Wellness Center is looking for an Engagmeent Coordinator to join our treatment team. As an Engagement Coordinator at Excelsior Wellness Center, your vital role revolves around connecting youth and families to services through a strength-based approach. You seamlessly bridge the gap through in-person and telehealth interactions, meeting individuals where they are most comfortable.

As a certified peer support, you will be able to draw from your lived experience to help people feel comfortable entering services. It is important that you make all individuals feel welcome and comfortable during the process. The balance you will bring between sharing your personal journey must be closely aligned with your professional aptitude.

How to Qualify:

  1. Minimum High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
  2. Has completed, or has the ability to complete, specialized training through Washington State HCA in becoming a Certified Youth or Family Specialist required. Dual certification preferred.
  3. Care Coordination/Case Management/Intake Coordination experience is required. 
  4. Prior experience working with youth.
  5. Exceptional organizational and communication skills to connect clients to services.
  6. A passion for promoting that people live a healthier and more satisfying life.
  7. Enthusiasm for working with individuals who have diverse needs and a commitment to fostering a positive and supportive environment.
  8. Must be 21 years or older.
  9. Ability to pass criminal background check according to organizational standards.
  10. Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for employment. *New employees with out-of-state licenses must obtain a Washington State Driver’s License within 30 days of employment*

Core Responsibilities Include:

  1. Serves as the primary point of initial contact for services within the Wellness Center for identified programs.
  2. Assists in the development of working relationships with service providers and agencies to match services to youth and families.
  3. Helps develop and implement processes for sending, receiving, and reviewing all referral and intake documents.
  4. Completes initial assessments and screenings as needed for program.
  5. Works in collaboration with referral sources and applicable entities to help identify the needs of assigned youth and families.
  6. Maintains professionalism when communicating with youth, their families, and other representatives.
  7. Follows the principles of “voice and choice” and “nothing without you.”
  8. Provides outreach as needed to meet youth and families where they are at.
  9. Utilizes care coordination and case management skills to help engage youth and families.

  • Employee only: $0 monthly premium/ $250 deductible.
  • Employee & child(ren): $0 monthly premium/ $500 deductible.
  • Employee & Spouse: $50 monthly premium/ $500 deductible.
  • Employee & Family: $50 monthly premium/ $500 deductible.
