Excelsior Defense is looking for professionally Licensed Security Guards for our Memphis Location! This post is a Federal Site, with paid holidays off, sick pay, and vacation pay.
Experienced Guards with report writing skills, able to deter crime when possible, and maintain access control to the property.
Veterans are encouraged to apply!
Must have an active Private Protective Service Unarmed Guard License.

Responsibilities
- Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
- Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
- Apprehend criminals and evict violators
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
- Report in detail any suspicious incidents
- Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment
- Perform first aid or CPR
Skills
- Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position
- Valid Unarmed Security License active with the State of TN
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation
- Integrity and professionalism
- High school degree
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.20 to $20.77
Upon offer of employment, you will be required to submit a drug screening, along with a background run.
